Directions

The City Quilter is located at 133 West 25th Street, which is between 6th (also called Avenue of the Americas) and 7th Avenues.

Subway: Take any subway that leaves you off at 23rd Street. We are within 5 minutes walking distance of these lines: 1, C, E, F, R. On the East Side, the #6 line's 23rd Street stop is about a 15 minute walk. Bus: The Number M20 runs from midtown Manhattan, down 7th Avenue. You simply get off nearest to 25th Street. For more bus options, please see the MTA’s comprehensive bus map: http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/manbus.pdf

Train: Penn Station is at 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue for the Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit, and Amtrak. Also, the PATH train from New Jersey stops at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue.

Parking: Commercial parking garages are located nearby.

The Area

We are located in Manhattan’s Chelsea District, the center of retail in the 19th Century. Today, this tradition continues. With numerous interesting specialty stores like Bang and Olufsen (audio/video), Jo Malone (fragrances) and Ann Sacks (tile), and many major stores including Old Navy, buybuy Baby, Eileen Fisher, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble, Whole Foods, and the Container Store.

Chelsea has become THE major art gallery location in Manhattan over the past four years, and there are now more than 175 art galleries between 10th and 11th Avenues, and 17th and 25th Streets. Two minutes walk from the shop is the Fashion Institute of Technology, the nation’s largest educational institution devoted to fashion and fabric.
